Publisher's summary

Is Moscow pulling the strings? Urgent, topical and shot through with insider knowledge, this is thriller writing on a grand scale.

Russian counterintelligence chief Colonel Dominika Egorova has been a recruited asset of the CIA - stealing Kremlin secrets for her handler, Nate Nash - for over seven years. In the dazzling finale of the Red Sparrow trilogy, their forbidden and tumultuous love affair continues, mortally dangerous for them both but irresistible.

In Washington, a newly installed administration is selecting its cabinet members. Dominika hears whispers of a closely held Kremlin operation to place a mole in a high intelligence position. If the Kremlin's candidate is confirmed, the Russians will have access to all the names of assets spying for the CIA in Moscow, including Dominika's.

Dominika recklessly immerses herself in the palace intrigues of the Kremlin, searching for the mole's identity and stealing as many of President Putin's secrets for her CIA handlers as she can before her time runs out.

With a plot ripped from tomorrow's headlines, The Kremlin's Candidate is a riveting listen and a thrilling conclusion to the trilogy that began with Red Sparrow and Palace of Treason.

The best

It’s the best spy book, or three books I’ve read. Best story, best characters, a page turner, full of surprises and funny. It’s just brilliant.

Brilliant brilliant brilliant

My heart broke. My Bp went through the roof. It was magnificent. I’m so, so sad that this is the last book ever to be written by the Master Storyteller Jason Matthews. What an absolute treasure he gave us. His stories will live on forever.

Brilliant writing craft!

A fitting end to a great trilogy. Sad ending but such is the nature of the fiction and the not so fictional, real world reality, that the entire story is modelled on. I look forward to day I get to meet my own blue eyed dancer with planetary resolve, animal intentions, an almost imperceptible limp, and warm hearted obsession. Dominika was indeed a lovely character to get to know.

Great suspenseful read

Loved the book and all the characters. So glad that the narrator was brought back, much better than narrator of the second book.

Stunning conclusion to the trilogy

There were some aspects that were too similar to the other 2 books, like her wanting to get the Sparrow out but the Sparrow being murdered ..... again?
The end was very sad, but good book overall.
At least the narrator is good

Recipes are not necessary!

Great book, great story, great characters!! BUT, completely irrelevant recipes are not needed; especially when they dont even include quantities or any really meaningful cooking instructions.

Fantastic

The final chapter in the series. And what a ride. I ended up listening to books 2 and 3 all in one. I just couldn’t wait.

Great writing, great story.

Narrator is excellent apart from his painful Murdering of Chinese works and ability to pronounce Canberra. Joking aside though he really was great.

Annoying gimmick

Inserting a recipe at the end of each chapter is an annoying gimmick made worse listening to the audio book. Spoiled the whole book

spoiled by recipes

story enjoyable and narration well done. shame about the silly conceit of interspersed recipes - really annoying. I would like to read more by this author but i won't buy until i can be sure i won't be subjected to this silliness again.
