Publisher's summary

When bizarre and cryptic messages are found on a pair of corpses in Mobile, Alabama, junior police detective Carson Ryder and veteran cop Harry Nautilus find themselves in a mysterious public-relations quagmire pitting public safety against office politics. With the body count growing, Ryder must confront his family's terrifying past by seeking advice from his brother, a violent psychopath convicted of similarly heinous crimes. Great read and I love Dick Hill!

Love Dick's range of voices and particularly his southern accent. Enjoyed the development between characters and the plot. Looking forward to more from Jack Kerley.

Buy it, you won't be sorry!

This is the first book I've read by this author. The story and characters are interesting and intriguing. Good twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. I've heard a lot of Dick Hills performances and he is phenomenal in this one. He truly creeped me out when he portrayed certain characters. Loved it.

Definitely a case for Matthew McConnaghey

Any additional comments?

I'm not sure when this book was originally published, but after watching True Detective recently, could not get Matthew McConnaghey out of my mind as the lead character. He would be great casting, Hollywood! Excellent story, good twists. Slightly predictable in some ways, but I didn't mind.
