Dark, suspenseful and thought provoking

The History Major is an very entering and thought provoking novella and it would have made a great episode of The Twilight Zone. This unique, strange but fascinating audiobook pulls you into Amanda Greene's world as she tries to figure out why and how her world has changed. She wakes with a hangover, finds herself with a roommate she doesn't know, late for a class she never signed up for and pursued by something dark and scary. Then things get even stranger as the history class begins. The authors descriptive words and the great narrative infuses life into the characters and paints a vivid picture that is easy for the listener to visualize. It keeps you in suspense, has some great twists (especially at the end) and touches on many sensitive subjects in a way that is not overt but defiantly makes you think. It is dark and well crafted, interweaving present "reality" with history, creating a thought provoking story that not only leaves you contemplating the situation Amanda was in, but also pondering the "what if" possibilities. I received this audiobook from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Very bad narrator

I WANT to finish this book and can't. Cause of how awful the reader is. My lord it's like he's only ever read infomercials his whole career.
Disregard the story and overall scores. Had to include them, but I didn't (couldn't) finish story.
