A bit much
The storyline was quite something. At one point I thought the book haf reached its climax, but it kept going... Perhaps it should rather have stopped there. I'm very fond of the author so will keep recommending his books, perhaps just not this one.
The narration was a tad monotone. While I had listen to this narrator before, this performance was not her best.

Wow! What a ride!
This book was awesome! The story could’ve have gone so many ways. Heck, it still could! I need another chapter or two. It wasn’t a bad ending, I just wanted more of an ending. My heart ached for some of the characters and I hate that some of them didn’t make it. I would’ve liked a better outcome for some of them. But dang, it was still an awesome story!

If Laura was real, I'd give her a thrashing
John's done it again, not bad at all for his second book that I've listened to. Laura's a character you love to hate. Narrators are in top shape here. The man's amazing regarding mystery works.

This Will Mess With Your Mind
We have a volunteer who is fairly 'off her rocker' who is giving advice to people who are contemplating ending their lives. The volunteer, instead of telling the suffering people who need her help that they can survive- instead tries to make it then kill themselves. She gives them advice on how the best ways will work, and she's kind of an expert in the field. She is something evil and her husband knows it. He can;t keep her away from their girls even thought she presents so much danger to them all.
It seems the Good Samaritan likes to driver her patients over the brink and revels in their deaths. How does she live this way?
There area secrets buried so deep that they will never see the sun,, but how ,much can just one take..

Wow, what a thriller!
I loved this book, the storyline was crazy good, the narration was fantastic, and the Good Samaritan was played out perfectly! This was such a thought out and researched book and I was constantly going “wow, can’t believe how Laura planned everything so well that it worked out like it did, yet totally believable!
Would love to see a follow up on this book just to see if she finally gets her just desserts!
