Publisher's summary

The rescue on Duran Island did not go as planned.

Jonathan Quinn knows that someone is responsible. That someone decided throwing people Quinn cares about into the line of fire in a cold-hearted act of self-preservation was a good idea. He also knows that this someone has made a serious mistake. Because when Quinn gets mad, the last place anyone should ever be is in his crosshairs. He will not stop until the guilty pay.

Sometimes revenge is best served now.

Quinn is back

I really did not enjoy the last book The Collectors, I missed the in-control, cool under pressure Quinn. He is back in this book. As usual Battles delivers a number of surprises in his plot - I liked them especially since some are very different than the usual in spy novels. If you have enjoyed the Quinn series you will like this one.

Loved Reading The Enraged.....Wonderful

Would you consider the audio edition of The Enraged to be better than the print version?

Absolutely. Hearing all the action and thrills made listening very exciting. I was anxious, leaning forward in my chair waiting to hear what was going to happen next.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the action and thrills throughout the book. The revenge Quinn had to employ to justify the actions that severely injured Orlando, the most important person in his life, had to be flown to hospital asap because her injuries were so severe that she needed immediate care in order to save her life, if possible. She had went on the mission to rescue men who were part of Quinn's team and Peter, who once had been the man who provided him with most of his work as a Cleaner. The cleaner would come in after a murder or murders had been committed and make sure there was no evidence left behind and dispose of the bodies in such ways they would never be found. While his men had been held as prisoners, they had been repeatedly tortured physically, mentally and were starving because of the meager amounts of food that they were fed. Quinn had no choice but to retaliate. How Quinn was able to exact the revenge required help from others. The plans were made and put into a nonstop execution of action. Hold on tight because the excitement will give the listener whip lash.

Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to many books narrated by Scott Brick. His performances can't be compared to his other narrations because I have found them all to be great. His narration of a book conforms to the kind of novel he is narrating. He's able to keep the character's recognizable and use his voice to inflect the emotion being portrayed. His skill has made him one of the best narrators I have listened to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extreme reactions to this book. I did not laugh or cry.

Any additional comments?

I read The Enraged all in one sitting. The novel went so fast that, before I knew it, the book was over. Brett Battle's series of Johnathan Quinn are great listens. The books keep me on the edge of seat. I hope that the next book in the series will come out soon.

Loved this Jonathan Quinn novel

Orlando is injured and Quinn is angry. It's difficult to select a best novel in the Jonathan Quinn series, but The Enraged is a good as any. Do not enrage Quinn! Action and suspense are constant. This is a marvelous novel. Narration by Scott Brick is flawless.

VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Battles does it again.

Once again we have a unique plot in this series.

This clean up is the resolution of the debacle that happened in the previous episode. Jonathan and company must sort out, clean up, and thwart the new evil group of antagonists. Peter, although dead, has left them clues to pursue their goals. A new character is introduced, an old one plays a big part, and Peter is laid to rest.

I was afraid that the last book might be the end, but we have all the makings for new adventures. I look forward to the next book!

Again, Scott Brick is a great narrator for this series.

Awesome Quinn!

A great continuation to the Quinn series. This is Quinn as we have not seen him before -- Quinn Enraged. Be prepared from some brutal surprises. Brick does good credit to Battles' work.

I always enjoy this series!

STORY (detective) - In this story Quinn (who is normally a "cleaner" for government ops) is involved personally with the case. People he loves and cares about are killed and injured, and he has to figure out who and why and make things right. The detective work is interesting and I found the book thoroughly enjoyable.

PERFORMANCE - I always love Scott Brick, and he delivers again with The Enraged.

OVERALL (actual rating 4.5) - Recommended for men and women of all ages. Be prepared for a fast-moving story with action, violence and a little bit of cursing. I've been skipping around in this series (Book 5, then 4.1 and now this Book 7). Each book stands alone, but I do feel like I'm missing some good character/relationship development by not going in order. I'd recommend starting with Book 4.1, which as far as I can tell should be Book 1 because it explains how Jake the cop turns into Quinn the cleaner.

BEST IN THE SERIES!

Now that I've listened to the full series, I want to say that my mind has changed about Scott Brick. The very first book in the series led me to believe that Scott Brick was way over dramatic and I still feel that way. However, as the books progressed, I almost felt like he relaxed and the narrations became better and better. By the time The Enraged ended, I was a fan. As for the stories by Brett Battles...they couldn't be better. I took no break between novels and never grew tired of listening. I will buy ALL future releases of Jonathan Quinn and I hope they come quickly! Early on, I never thought I'd say this...but I do hope Scott Brick narrates all future releases in this series.

One of the best in the series!

This one show Quinns character has just a bit more relatable and human. This is a tough as nails character and his companions are equally sharp and tough.

Quinn-what a great read

after discovering Quinn I read each book one after the other. Brett Battles and Scott
Brick are another great team , can't imagine a Quinn read by anyone else and I do hope there are a number more in the future to be read.
