Promising start, but suffered in translation

I just never really got into this book. I think a lot of the problems comes from the choppy phrasing, which I assume arises from poor translation and not the original narrative. Also, I feel this would have much more gripping if Eriksson had stayed to a strict "police procedural" format instead of veering off into psychoanalysis.

The narrator does a good job with the varying characters.

- Tracey "I am a voracious reader (average about 4-5 Audible books a week, in addition to those I "eyeball".) I have been hooked on recorded books since the time of cassettes/CDs and was thrilled when I became an Audible member in 2007. I find reader reviews good guides to spending my credits, so have finally decided to write a few (although, I would rather be reading!)"

Good but not great

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Hardcopy yes, audible no.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The brothers.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

His tone range was very poor. His inflections when speaking as a woman were brutual.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?
