Publisher's summary

You only let her go for a second… Now she’s gone.

Erika Rice is in an elevator with her four-year-old daughter Alice when all the lights go out. It jerks to a stop on a deserted floor of apartments and the little girl runs out into the corridor.

But before Erika can follow her the doors slam shut again. Now her daughter is nowhere to be seen.

Erika was about to take Alice away for a fresh start, far from her troubled past, when the child vanished. How could a four-year-old disappear into thin air?

And with no one to help her, will Erika ever find her daughter?

A gripping and addictive psychological thriller that will have you holding on tight to the ones you love. If you enjoyed Behind Closed Doors, Silent Child, and I Let You Go, you won’t want to miss The Day I Lost You!

Ok but overall boring

I made it through the whole book thinking it had to get better. It was slow and boring and extremely predictable. I knew the shocking ending about 3 chapters in.

Entertaining, but I would not consider it a psychological thriller

This book is entertaining and well written even though it is a little slow in some parts. I was able to figure out what was going on before the author explained it.

Just couldn't go on listening to this stupid mom make every dumb decision while her daughter was missing. Such an unrealistic tale. I'm sorry I paid for this.

Waste of good listening time

Figured it out by chapter 10. Repetitive and absolutely unbelievable! The whole piece on why the police were delayed would never happen, nor would anyone believe that excuse. The whole story is just plain silly, but not in a funny way.
