I highly recommend that you buy the UNABRIDGED book if you are looking to read this one. I do not know how I mistakenly bought abridged, as I never do so. Having said that, I do not know whether my disappointment in this clunky book are due to the abridgment or to the book itself. I found the story to be predictable and formulaic. I was rarely surprised and never shocked. Nothing startled or scared me. I really couldn't define it as a mystery as I found nothing in it to be mysterious. The characters were one-dimensional, unlikable and didn't feel real.
