What would have made The Burning Wire better?
1) Sabotage of the electrical grid, has potential of an epic tale, like "One Second After". Yet this writer turns it into a simple murder.2) At the end of this book, you will not know many characters, yet be acquinted with many. Most are irrelevant and you will wonder, why spend so much time on them?3) The author describes the villan, perhaps 10 times, as a white male, with short blond hair... Once is enough. Twice is ample. In summary, most of this book is pulp, to strech out a fair story to 13 hours, and when you get to the end, where the croock is apprehended, the end is still not in sight. It keeps going nowhere untill the batteries run out.
Would you ever listen to anything by Jeffery Deaver again?
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Burning Wire?
So that its no longer than 6-9 hours.I love long books, but there must be 13 hours worth of story in it.
Any additional comments?
Good story. Catching the villan was a masterpiece. Getting there was a struggle to listen to, and then.... why not end at a good note?
I thought I might begin to tire of Lincoln And his cohorts but this one is as good as the previous. The unsub does not appear as chillingly evil as previous ones but continues to cause convulsions in the story. I also enjoy the building on characters from previous books.

A good story full of twists and turns. Couldn't guess the end. Exciting and unpredictable
