LaStanza keeps his date with Lizette Louvier. The relationship of this working-class detective and the uptown daughter of the wealthy class grows slowly. That same evening, the body of a young prostitute is found. LaStanza learns she was shot twice in the forehead and has the bullets compared to the bullets from his victim's. It's the same gun, a .22 Magnum. The killer's still in town, and LaStanza must connect the victims to hopefully lead him to the murderer.

Could not finish, Bronx accent in New Orleans?
What would have made The Big Kiss better?
Either move the story to the Bronx or let someone like Will Patton perform. All the characters sound like they are from NY. They aren't even able to pronounce the street names correctly.
What do you think your next listen will be?
not sure, but I will listen to some of the dialog before I buy anymore audio books
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Michael J. McCue?

I Love LaStanza
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes! The reader does a good job on a GREAT book. I've visited New Orleans and and this series takes me back there, but gave me a look into a part of the city the average person/tourist doesn't see.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Big Kiss?
The entire book was really good and built up to an edge-of-your-seat climax, you will have to read it yourself, I'm not going to give anything away.
Which character – as performed by Michael J. McCue – was your favorite?
Of course Dina LaStanza, but Stan the Man is also a personal favorite.
Any additional comments?
This second book in the series doesn't let you down. I can't wait for the next!
