Publisher's Summary

Alexandra Giordano never knew she had it so good. Until it was all gone in an instant. A bizarre, ritualistic murder. As her mind slowly plugs a few memory gaps, her emotions are scrambled by the reality of her worlds colliding. And the resulting explosion tears her in two. Can she pick up all the incendiary fragments to solve the twisted crime while she clings to some semblance of sanity?

Really Good

This is an entertaining series. It has the perfect balance of professional and personal relationships. The characters and plot are realistic and engaging.

Good but I Like Mefford’s Ivy Nash Series Much Better...

I listened to Mefford’s Ivy Nash series first and I loved all the books. The Alex Troutt series is good but not my favorite. I just don’t really like His Alex character. I find the humor too flippant. I tend to like dark and witty humor. As other reviewers, have said some of the scenarios, like falling and face planting into someone’s ass, is not witty and something I would expect from a series geared at teens.
With that said, Mefford can created vivid characters and entertaining plots. This series has more foul language then the Ivy Nash series. Bentley does a good job narrating.
