Publisher's summary

Continue this searing adventure as Sydney Rye and her dog, Blue, battle for justice around the globe in books 4-6.

Strings of Glass (A Sydney Rye Mystery, Book 4)

Trouble finds Rye when she stops the attempted rape and murder of Anita, a reporter working on a story of corruption and child trafficking. The atrocities Anita describes send Sydney and Blue on a quest that takes them across India after a dangerous and, up until now, untouchable, figure.

The Devil's Breath (A Sydney Rye Mystery, Book 5)

One of Sydney Rye's dearest friends, Hugh Defry, has been accused of brutal murder. All the evidence points to Hugh and he has no memory of that night. But Sydney refuses to believe that Hugh is capable of such violence. Sydney flies to Miami searching for the real killer, unprepared for the realization that her personal fight for justice has become much more than she'd ever imagined. Sydney is pushed towards making a decision that will change not just her life, but possibly the future of crime fighting.

Inviting Fire (A Sydney Rye Mystery, Book 6)

Recovering from a near-fatal attack that has left her with residual trauma, including haunting dreams and flashbacks, Sydney Rye is regaining her strength at the jungle training camp of Joyful Justice, the vigilante network inspired by her now legendary acts of vengeance.

However, when she runs up against an old adversary he destroys the peace she has found and puts her and Blue's lives in danger.

Recommended for adults who love brave female protagonists, dogs, and action-packed series that you can't stop listening to until you've listened to them all. If you have trouble with the f-bomb, violence or sex (not graphic but out of wedlock)...then you should not start this series...it's just not your thing.

Fierce FMC leading the way

Man, do I enjoy a good a$$ kicking woman! I love that Sydney isn’t perfect and is still a baddie. She and Blue make an epic global Justice league :)

continuity of story and characters

I enjoyed the characters as I listened to the story. The story provides the reader with an entertaining edge and a need to know what's happening next.

Love this series

There are always twists in this story so I’m always surprised by where they lead. The narrator is awesome and draws me into the stories.

My new favorite series!

Love the main character, love the plot twists, love the action. Sydney is a rare female hero whi is unapologetic for being who she is with all the violence, aggression, emotional distancing and lust usually reserved for male characters but really does reside in many of us.

Girl, MULBERRY

gosh sydney wastes a lot of time doing things she knows is bad for her while ignoring all the good possibilities in her life 😂

book 4 was a little dark for what I've come to expect from this series and it took me a little longer to get through it, but it was very worth it for the end 👀 5 was thrilling and 6 was the best in the series so far I think. I really like seeing the story develop into an organization with a larger focus.

just wish sydney would stop doing everything in her power to keep herself away from the one guy that obviously has her best interests at heart and has since book 1! common girl wake up to the possibilities and stop holding yourself back!

my little spoiler tidbit / theory for this part : getting real real bad vibes from Bobby, considering the association between her dreams of him and her drug induced haze. the fact that he visited her every day and she doesnt know what he was saying to her during that time...ugh. I'm really feeling some nasty brainwash business..

keep writing emily!! this is my new favorite soap opera (?) lol

Almost 5 stars

I enjoyed these books. I would have liked Sydney Rye much better if she didn't have sex with every man she met. One minute she's a fiercely independent woman. next minute she's having sex with 3 different men. I would have admired her more if she didn't act like a ho.
