Interesting

This book is not what I usually read but I liked the blurb so I thought I will give it a go. I liked the suspense and the authors take on the species in this book, especially the vampires but I found that the main character acted more like a lustful teenager then an adult. I can't make up my mind if I like her or not. There is a lot of talk about sex but nothing happens, there is some violence but it is not graphic.
Would I read or listen to the next book in this series? Yes I would, there are some intersting characters in this series and I am curious to find out what they would do next.

This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary.
This is a great book for readers that enjoy shifters, vampires, touch of romance, and some adventure. I enjoyed the characters, the plot was interesting and I think this will be a fun series to follow. It's fairly short but has enough to satisfy.
The narrator was great and performed the voices great! She was able to perform a crabby gruff man to a meek woman. Wonderful!

Looking forward to next release

I really enjoyed the start to this series. Chia is a strong female lead, emotional when needed, uses her skills and brains when she should. Her romantic interactions are refreshingly not detailed and don't go on forever, making me want to fast forward to get back to the story. The narrator did a great job, the only voice I could not put with the character was Hung. But that did not stop me from enjoying it. Looking forward to the next release, hoping they'll be longer.

Entertaining

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This was a different take on the shifter life style. The humor was intertwined through the suspense and made for a great story. I loved the pet names the characters had for each other and the police chief was just too strange. The scene where the coffin was delivered just cracked me up. To tell them to put it in the basement and then promptly go back to sleep. Too funny. The narrator was good and brought out the emotions in the story.

Great Shifter Story

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I enjoyed this shifter story. I think I would have enjoyed better if there had been both male and female narrators. I just couldn't get into the female trying to do the male voices. However, I still enjoyed the story and the characters. There are a whole lot more stories with this series. The character has so much more potential than what was displayed in this book. Looking forward to more stories with Chia and the gang.

This was a quick, fun listen. It is a little short, so I would have reluctance to spend a credit on it otherwise. As for the story, it has shifters and vampires and enough paranormal content and action to balance the relationship stuff. For me, this is a big plus. The narration is pretty good, I thought, and fit well with the story. All in all, I was entertained and would definitely be open to more from this series.

Great beginning for a series. I can't wait to see where it is going, I want to say more about this story but I absolutely hate spoilers, so I won't go into details.
The narrator brings the story to life.

This book is not to be missed

The book is highly entertaining. The characters are well written and the plot is superb. The story has everything a person could want in a book...romance, vampires, and adventure. There is grief, love and justice to add to the story. I couldn't stop listening to it. Anyone would love this book who loves the genre.

The narrator did an excellent job of narrating the story. She narrated the characters perfectly.

Strong start to the series

Great book, though a little short. The world at larger isn't explained much, but characters have good depth. The mystery side is also well done, keeping you thinking. It leaves enough mysteries for it to keep interesting in books to come. There was some too much racism/sexism/xenophobia from the characters, but it eases off. Great production and narration.
