Publisher's summary

Time's up. You're Next.

"All he had to do was name the woman he wanted. It was that easy. They would do all the hard work."

Detective Sergeant Mark 'Heck' Heckenburg is investigating the disappearance of 38 different women. Each one was happy and successful until they vanished without a trace.

Desperate to find her missing sister, Lauren Wraxford seeks out Heck's help. Together they enter a seedy underworld of gangsters and organised crime. But when they hear rumours about the so-called 'Nice Guys Club' they hit a brick wall. They're the gang that no one will talk about. Because the Nice Guys can arrange anything you want. Provided you pay the price....

Dark, terrifying and unforgettable. Stalkers will keep fans of Stuart MacBride and Katia Lief looking over their shoulder.

Great !

I asked Audible if they could get more of the Paul Finch Sgt Heckenberg series and they did ! So thank you Audible. I really enjoyed the only other one of the series they had on Audible "Hunted" which is book 5 in the series so I was so pleased to start at book 1 "Stalkers". Paul Finch was a script writer for TV and a former policeman in England and it shows in his writing these detective novels featuring DS "Heck" Heckenburg are paced really well, tension builds and the story is gripping . I could not stop listening. Some of the crime scenes are a bit graphic but the plots are so inventive lots of twists and turns. The narrator Paul Thornley does an excellent job . the Can't wait to read book 2 "Sacrafice".

Crime and women abuse. Good entertainment

Crime fiction, at times it was really nerve-wracking. Some times it was a bit slow but all in all a good read.

farfetched and dull

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

perhaps male teenagers

What could Paul Finch have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Have a plausible plot with more realistic characters. The two lead characters performed like super heroes.

Would you be willing to try another one of Paul Thornley’s performances?

Don't think so

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointment

Any additional comments?

inconclusive ending ... made a long listen, even less unworthy.
