Blocked by a menacing sheriff with ties to the family, Cam is shut down and sent away, no wiser about why the young woman was attacked and what she saw. He returns, stealthily stalking the Creighs and their secrets, moving ever closer to Grinny's mountain house and what it might conceal...not knowing that his presence in her web has been detected, and that the Creighs are hunting him with creatures bred for that purpose and starved into relentless fury.
"Ex-cop Cam Richter's interplay with all these characters will keep listeners engaged, especially as the realistic dialogue is enhanced by Hill's vocal skills." ( AudioFile)

Love Them All
I'm afraid I totally disagree with the other review here. I've read all of the Cam Richter series including the new one Nightwalker. Deutermann couldn't write anything bad if he tried. This series is one of my favorites. I think the other reviewer should have finished the book. I always read books in a series in the order they were written. The Cat Dancers, Spider Mountain, The Moonpool, Firefly and Nightwalker. They are all excellent and much better if read in order. All of Deutermann's books are great but the Cam Richter series are still my favorites and hoping for another one in about a year. Read the book and make your own decision but read them in order, you won't be sorry you did. We all have different tastes so one bad review should not make a difference. And Dick Hill is the best narrator on the planet as far as I am concerned. Anything read by Dick Hill is better. A bad narrator can kill an audio book. Dick Hill won't dissappoint. Buy it and enjoy and read all the others in this series. I will be reading them more than once.

A real story spinner!
P. T. Deutermann really knows how to spin a story. I find myself parked in my driveway, sitting in my car, because I can't stop listening! Each book I read/listen to gets better & better. Thank you P. T. Deutermann. Keep 'em coming!
