Combat vets with a score to settle

This story felt odd to me, but also a version of reality. These guys had a different response to combat horrors, and that was decidedly related to their life prior to the army. The guys I worked with went law enforcement, these guys went vigilante. That being said, the tale rings true and the writing keeps you involved with the characters, turning pages or whatever and looking for the next installment.
Bob Johnson was a good choice for narrator. He gives voice to the characters and enhances them.

fun story, would be a great movie

I had a good time listening to this book as I did my morning commute. The pace was fast and entertaining, I cared about characters, and thought the ending was good. I will look forward to the next book. I can picture Liam Neeson in the movie. ;)

Good story slow at times but entertaining

The book started off strong and finished strong. It floundered around for a while in the middle with not a whole lot going on. The narrator did an alright job with it but could have lent the characters some more variety and voice and some passion as well. Overall a good story and a good listen. Get through the slow points and you will enjoy it. I received this audiobook from the author narrator or publisher for free via audiobookboom in exchange for an unbiased review

Soldiers Die

“This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.”

This is a dark tale of murder, drugs, and revenge. Two Iraq War vetrans take on the challenge of finding and eliminating those responsible.
The language was a bit course for my taste, but I guess it fit with the setting.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.

Soldiers Die

Any additional comments?

Dark, gritty and unusual.
A tale of revenge, murder and some self insights.

How far would you go to avenge the murder of a loved one?

Ex military buddy's , Justin and Sam who have been wandering around Europe robbing people for money, mostly drug dealers. Now they are on a mission to find out who murdered Justin's sister and exact revenge.

Starts out strong, drags a little in the middle, then a good ending. I expected more action. The story does not always flow smoothly. There are flashbacks throughout the book, but the transition back and forth is not smooth.

Bob Johnson did a pretty good job with the narration. In the beginning his narration seems a little flat at times. He has a pleasant voice. He does give each of his characters a different voice or accent which are actually very good. His female voices are good as well which many male narrators cannot pull off. There needs to be a bit more feeling/life into his non character parts of the narration.
