The Peter May/Simon Vance combination is among my favorites. Right up there with James Lee Burke/Will Patton and Adrian McKinty/Gerard Doyle. Excellent writing with superb narration is the reason to listen to books. This story is intriguing, the characters are complex and flawed, some more deeply than others. Just like most of the human beings you know. If you haven't listened to a May/Vance book, do yourself a favor.
What would have made Snakehead better?
Peter Forbes narrating it
What did you like best about this story?
It was a good story
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Immensely. I will not listen to the next two books in the series as Simon Vance is not good at this
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Any additional comments?
why change the narrator half way through a series?

I love Peter May’s writing, and was dubious about a “new” narrator, after listening to many masterful performances by Peter Forbes. I was, therefore, very pleasantly surprised by Simon Vance’s performance, which was really excellent. The characters stayed true to my image ofthem, formed in the other novels , narrated by Peter Forbes. I enjoy both narrators, and will continue to enjoy further works by both Peter May, Peter Forbes and Simon Vance.
This story, has a wonderful array of plots, sub plots and characters. I recommend it as a great listen.
Great book, easy listening as are most of Peter Mays . A great follow on from the other two books in this series.
as always well written and brilliantly narrated.. Simon vance has a voice that captivates ..I would recommend all the Peter may books..as long as Simon tells the story
