Publisher's summary

Forensic sculptor Eve Duncan knows what it’s like to be haunted by the past. For years after her daughter, Bonnie, was stolen from her, she fought for closure. When her mother, Sandra, asks Eve to find a missing friend named Beth Avery, she wants to help but is sure that Sandra is hiding something. The fact that she adamantly refuses to go to the police reinforces Eve’s suspicions that something is very wrong.

Eve learns that Beth has been locked away in a mental hospital for years, which makes it even harder to understand how she could have disappeared. As Sandra reluctantly reveals small pieces of the truth about Beth’s identity, Eve is shocked to discover that their lives are strangely entwined, and Beth’s disappearance now puts them all in grave danger.

Desperate, Eve enlists a secret weapon to pick up Beth’s trail: rogue profiler Kendra Michaels. With an uncanny ability to detect clues and solve puzzles, Kendra begins to uncover the bizarre circumstances of Beth’s escape from what should have been the safety of her hospital room. Beth is on the run, and as her mind clears - detoxing from the drugs that have held her prisoner - she begins to see the threads of a twisted plot within the powerful Avery family, threatening to destroy her and anyone else who might jeopardize the high-stakes game that is already in play.

Exactly what a fan would expect.

Would you consider the audio edition of Sleep No More to be better than the print version?

Don't know. Who would ever do both?

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Not really, but it was excellent.

Which character – as performed by Elisabeth Rodgers – was your favorite?

Eve of course.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Would not make a good movie. There are other Eve Duncan books that would need to be made into a movie firs.t

Any additional comments?

I am not sure how many male fans there are of this series, but I sure do love it. I connect with all of the characters. I have read every one in the series. I started reading/listing to books in 1996 and Eve Duncan was one of the first books I randomly pulled from a grocery store counter, so this series has become a comfort book for me.

Performance Is Everything

My biggest complaint is the performance. It was hard to listen to. Honestly I'm not even sure I paid attention. I'm sure I missed it because my mind was wondering instead of listening. I hate when they change readers. This is the 3rd one and she's definitely not as good as the previous 2. I'm hesitant on purchasing the next books because I and so much. The story itself was okay. The narration just made it not so good. Listen at your own risk.

grabs and keeps your attn

As always, the Eve Duncan series doesn't disappoint. It was great seeing a slight change in Eve's outlook on life and I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I read the first ones years ago and life got busy, finally back at it and so excited to see so many more stories to read.
