The drag queen named Vera Reynolds swayed on-stage singing "Falling in Love Again". And a 16-year-old boy lay in Vera's fire-engulfed apartment … very, very dead. He was a "rent boy", a sex-for-hire street kid who catered to the tastes of special customers. It was the kind of murder Soho's Vice Squad saw often. La Plante does not fail

No, I have read all her books, but Davinia did bring the characters to life.
No, when I find a good book and a wonderful narrator, I like to drag it out so it lasts longer. When you buy a book on tape, you never know if the narrator will ge good or the book interesting. With this book I already knew the plot, read it before, but I like Davinia so much, I wanted her to bring it to life again.
