Best radio dramatization

Except reading the actual stories and Jeremy Brett's portrayal of Holmes, these BBC dramatizations featuring Merrison and Williams are the best adaptations of the Sherlock Holmes stories.
Brett, I think, is the gold standard.
Jeremy Brett was Sherlock Holmes.
But, Merrison and Williams were outstanding.
These productions are the benchmark of Holmes adaptations on radio.
The passage of time makes them better.

Clive Merrison is truly the voice of Holmes

What about Clive Merrison and Michael Williams ’s performance did you like?

Merrison is the perfect Sherlock Holmes, in my view. He is the voice of Holmes when I think of the character or when I read anything relating to the sleuth.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

You could do that, I guess, but I rather enjoy listening to the audio plays in a piecemeal fashion.

The best way to experience Sherlock Holmes.

When I hear Sherlock speaking in my head he's voiced by Clive Merrison. A superb effort.

Excellent Production. Poor Quality Audiobook.

I won't lie. It's amazing content. But - tiny bone of contention: You BBC bozos had three jobs - MAX!
1. DIGITIZE ORIGINAL RECORDING
2. DIVIDE INTO SMALLER SEGMENTS
3. oh and one more... NAME THESE SEGMENTS!!!!!

Thankfully the order in which they are listed in the description matches the order of the tracks:
1. 'Silver Blaze';
2. 'The Yellow Face'; '
3. The Stockbroker's Clerk';
4. 'The 'Gloria Scott''; '
5. The Musgrave Ritual';
6.'The Reigate Squires'; '
7. The Crooked Man';
8. 'The Resident Patient'; '
10. The Greek Interpreter';
11. 'The Naval Treaty';
12. 'The Second Stain';
13. and 'The Final Problem'.
