Publisher's summary

Writer Colleen Hobbs is sent by her boss back to her hometown to cover the first murder the town has seen in decades. The victim is a man Colleen herself would have happily killed. She winds up trapped in a cabin, due to a flooded roadway, with Sheriff's Deputy Captain Chris Steele. Colleen hasn't seen him since they graduated from high school in 1986. He had been popular in high school, and Colleen was often the brunt of his jokes. She now was a beautiful woman unaware of the beauty she possessed. Chris and Colleen both have kept many secrets in their lives. Secrets that link them in ways they never could have imagined. While they're trapped, more bodies start turning up dead in the quiet little town. Will Chris and Colleen be the next victims?

Vengeance Fiction

A woman returns to her hometown to report on a murder of a man she would have loved to have killed herself. The sheriff is an old classmate of hers; the epitome of the high school BMOC. The two of them connect in a way that she could have only dreamed of then. In his cabin home they both learn that they have more in common than either of them could have never predicted. Then another murder occurs and the two of them realize that the secrets that hold may have a connection to the murders. This one is a great story.
