Creepy and Different Kinda Father Son story

It's an engaging and gripping thriller... Gritty w/ darkly wry humor... It uses lotsa means to weave a nice yarn... The imaginative abilities of the young, warping of reality, addiction and fear, campfire story like spookiness, etc... Creative use of a pretty dickish fellow as hero come narrator... The dad son stuff can be quite moving in some odd ways... Bit of redemption, bit coming of age... Some very funny turns of phrase - "What a beautiful turd" was probably my favorite;). The narration is average, but actually fits the narrator and story quite well... There's a tiny bit of gore, but it's not overdone, and again fits w/ the tale... Read it in an afternoon and evening... If you like something a bit unusual and appreciate tension and chills it's worth the credit...

Strange but compelling listen

This edgy tale will take you on a very strange journey through the drug-addled mind of a father trying to keep himself and his son alive when they become trapped in a storage facility just before Christmas. Jim, (the Impatient one) I think you will like this. Not completely a nail biter but still pretty creepy. And thanks for all your great reviews/tips-- the headlines alone are laugh out loud funny and the insights-- priceless.
