Teenagers save the day

After a recent diet of heavy-weight biography and heart-rending realism an escapist novel like this was just the job. A pacy story, even if a bit far-fetched, as three teenagers get into extraordinary situations. I kept being reminded of Enid Blyton's Famous Five books of my childhood: youngsters free-ranging about the place with little adult supervision, exhibiting extraordinary resourcefulness and facing difficult moral dilemmas. The modern story is more complex and grittier with the teenagers in much greater danger, but the fantasy element is the same and enjoyable as such.

There are plenty of twists and turns to keep one listening and the denouement was a surprise.

The narrator does a good job.

Childlike

The worst HC book I’ve read. Very poor story line and plot and really not worth the effort....

Very good!

Once again Harlan Coben nails it. I can't wait to start the next book in the continued story.
