Publisher's Summary

My name is Piper Hadley and I went missing on the last Saturday of the summer holidays three years ago.
When Piper and her friend Tash disappeared, there was a huge police search, but they were never found. Now Tash, reaching breaking point at the abuse their captor has inflicted on them, has escaped, promising to come back for Piper. Clinical psychologist Joe O'Loughlin and his stalwart companion, ex-cop Vincent Ruiz, force the police to re-open the case after Joe is called in to assess the possible killer of a couple in their own home and finds a connection to the missing girls. But they are racing against time to save Piper from someone with an evil, calculating and twisted mind....

His best book yet

I have a personal policy of writing reviews only for books which I would give 5 stars to, because they are the books I tell my friends about. I read Michael Robotham's first 2 books, and they were quite good, but not gripping. Say Your Sorry is different. It got me in right from the start, and kept me enthralled wright to the last chapter. One of the best points about it was the passages written from the point of view of one of the victims. Often I find books that alternate between past and present to be confusing, and the technique can detract from the suspense. But with this story the excursions into the recent past only add to the drama. Although there is some graphic detail, Robotham doesn't go overboard with the sex, blood and guts. If you like a thrilling crime novel that has you cheering on the sleuths and the victims, this one's well worth your credit.

Excellent plot, superbly narrated...

Very good indeed! The plot did well and truly thicken as the book progressed, and I found myself listening at every opportunity to find out 'whodunit'! At the end of the book I found myself in tears, such was my empathy with the characters.

Sean Barrett reads superbly, as always. He is one of the few male readers who can 'do' women without making them sound either simpering or halfwitted. Much of this story is in the voice of an 18 year old female, and he does an impeccable job.

If you like detective stories, this comes very highly recommended indeed!

The Best Book I have ever listened to

Wow, what a book. Having listened to all of Michael Robotham books I couldn't wait for the latest and it surpassed all I could have wished for. It is brilliant certainly the best book I have ever listened to.

So good, in fact, that I couldn't decide whether to listen to the whole series again or just re-listen to ths one. My decision was to listen to this one again and strange as it may seem this is even better the second time around a true sign of an exceptional book. I cannot wait to get to bed at night to listen and, at least, this time around I will not have to be listening at four in the morning my knowing the plot I can take my time. Thank you Michael Robotham the best audio book out there.

Obsessively listened

I could not stop listening to this thriller. Occasionally gasping, gripping the steering wheel or cooking implement as tension mounted. Don't read this one if you are after a relaxing meditative break . I loved it

I'm not sorry I listened to this!

My second book from Michael Robotham with psychologist Joe O'Loughlin hot on the trail of a nasty kidnapper. Three years ago Piper and her friend Tash went missing without a clue until a mystery body is found frozen in the lake. The book is exciting and fast paced with different people telling the story which makes it so much more interesting. I loved it and highly recommend it. Narrator Sean Barrett is brilliant.
