Publisher's summary

Lacey Luzzi is all sorts of starred, striped, and spangled as she returns in Sauced, reunited with Meg, Clay, and Anthony just in time for the Fourth of July!

Unfortunately, the rapidly approaching holiday means Lacey can no longer ignore the Luzzi Family Festivities - a picnic held every year on Independence Day. Filled to bursting with limoncello, ice cream cake, and illegal Mexican fireworks, the event promises to be an utter nightmare.

Even worse? Lacey's inevitable birthday.

Just when things are looking as if they can't possibly go any more downhill, Carlos delivers a birthday present Lacey is not expecting: a bomb.

Rumor has it that someone around town has been importing materials to build a massive incendiary device, promising the Twin Cities one heck of a fireworks show - and not in a good way. Carlos instructs Lacey to work side by side with Anthony - a man who suddenly seems filled with secrets - to save the day.

As the humidity rises outside, the heat is on Lacey to locate the bomb and disassemble it before her hometown receives a fireworks display it won't forget.

If she can't find the explosives, there's a good chance Lacey might not make it to 30.

Would you listen to Sauced again? Why?

Yes I would....I would listen to the whole series again!

What other book might you compare Sauced to and why?

Its a very fun mafia cozy mystery....it is totally hilarious...and I wont compare it!

Which character – as performed by Caitlin Kelly – was your favorite?

Lacey and Meg!!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I totally laughed!!!! A LOT!!!! LOL

Any additional comments?

** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **

This was so much fun! I was giggling from minute one and laughed out loud the whole way through! Lacey is kind of sent on a wild goose chase in this one, to distract her from a surprise birthday party that Meg is planning! As always we have the romantic tension between her and Anthony and so many crazy situations that you cant help but laugh, Meg is a good friend and is right there by Lacey's side the whole book and I loved every minute of it!!!

PERFECT NARRATION AND AN AWESOME FUN STORY, I RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

Never a dull assignment

When I thought I’d figured it out, the story weaves a fantastic path forward. Narration with character distinction is delightful.

Unrealistic and predictable

The Fish is an unrealistic bad guy. No bad guy would just let Meg and Lacey have a touching to the girls, frivolous to him, conversation for 10 minutes while holding them at gunpoint in a car. Nor does anyone react to a standoff happening at a party? They just go on like nothing happened as soon as the gunman left. Lacey also asks a lot of questions that were already answered or so heavily implied that there is no reason to ask it. And she cuts people off and is dismissive of other characters that are trying to tell her something. For instance, when Anthony was opening up at the end, she was like, "This was your house? That's nice. I know you want to share your story with me right now but why don't you hold off and tell me later?" Plus, the surprise party was so obvious. How Lacey didn't figure it out makes her look stupid.
I do like this series but this entry was weak.

Great Series!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book; this is the fourth book in the Lacey Luzzi Mafia Mystery series written by Gina LaManna and narrated by Caitlin Kelly. Carlos instructs Lacey to work side by side with Anthony, a man who suddenly seems filled with secrets to save the day.

This book has a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. This was such a great read and full of surprises.

The narrator Caitlin Kelly did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to in one sitting and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.

If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.
