Publisher's summary

International assassin Gideon spilled blood for the first time when he was seven years old, with a single shot to the head of a man who was attempting to kill the woman Gideon had known as his mother. The victim was none other than his own father, a man of unspeakable evil. This pivotal event shaped Gideon throughout his life, made him who he is, one of the fiercest, most feared hired guns in the world.

And one of the most hunted.

After nearly losing his life in Antigua during a mission that went terribly wrong, Gideon trusts no one. But when a former lover and grifter, Arizona, resurfaces in need of his skills, she reminds him he was indebted to a man who had once saved his life: the son of the legendary con-man Scamz. Gideon is forced to take on an assignment which will lead him to Argentina in pursuit of a briefcase containing one part of a larger puzzle.

The "package" contains material that another group of assassins - the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - will kill to obtain and protect. One of the leaders of the Four Horsemen has a connection to Gideon that neither man is aware of - a connection that will be exposed when they meet face-to-face and gun-to-gun.

Each member of The Four Horsemen is a world-class killer, each with a dark and dangerous past, and nothing will stop that team of renegades from completing their mission.

As Gideon struggles to keep promises and uncover information about his past, he finds himself at the center of the ultimate double-cross and he is forced to do what he must to protect himself and those closest to him. Set amidst the exotic and vibrant streets of Miami and Buenos Aires, Resurrecting Midnight is an action-filled, pulse-pounding thriller from best-selling author Eric Jerome Dickey.

Glued To My Seat!

I read the third installment, Dying For Revenge, not too long ago and was pleasantly surprised to discover this one had been released. All I can say is I hope this is not the end of the Giddian saga because the ending left me with more questions than answers. Arizona was even slicker and oilier than I remember and I thought she finally got a taste of what she so richly deserved. . I remember her from Thieve's Paradise and because there were references to that time, I actually went out and acquired another copy of that book to fill in what I may have missed years ago. For two days, this book had my attention. EJD, keep it coming. I'm no prude but those fans who are would probably approve of this latest installment as it lacked a lot of the graphic sexcapades in Waking With Enemies. Still, the scenes were hot, as usual and I can't wait to hear what happens to Giddian next. Hope Arizona gets another taste of what she deserves and this time with a permanence.

LOVED IT!

I love Erick Jerome Dickey and the Character Gideon and the voice for Gideon, Dion Graham!!! I am in love with the plot of the series and each book has gotten better and better and leaves you on the edge of your seat wanting more!! Resurrecting Midnight is so good I could not wait for the audio version to come out, so I have already read the book. However, there is nothing like hearing Dion Graham bring Gideon to life. You know he is a killer, and that's bad, but you can feel the pain in his voice for why and you understand the life he choses, even though you would never want to end up on the wrong side of this dudes anger!! Just the thought of listening to this book makes me excited!!!

Happy Listening!!

Reciprocity is the catalyst for this novel!

I've read every single EJD novel. My husband bought me Resurrecting Midnight last year and I read half of it ( just too busy with work). So I decided to download the audiobook, I'm glad I did! This was great listening on my ride to and from work. Konstantin, Hawks, Arizona, Alvin "Shotgun" White and Thelma-Catherine are back in this novel. Thelma-Catherine lies are catching up to her. Scamz and Arizona are ruthless money hungry grifters. Having Gideon traumatic past tie in with Medianoche's was obvious from the book's title but the ending left me hanging. It sounds like Scamz will get his comeuppance in the next novel (if there's another book in the Gideon series). Regarding the Spanish, the majority of the story is set in Buenos Aires so it is necessary for the story. I highly recommend this audiobook.

Series Drama.....

Would you consider the audio edition of Resurrecting Midnight to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version, but I did like this book. I had to listen to all of the books in the series, following the story line. I wanted to find out the conclusion of Geidon.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Resurrecting Midnight?

All the the fighting and chases in Buenos Aires.

What does Dion Graham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Yes, he is a very good narrator. I have looked for other books that he has done. Listening to books gives me a new type of vision about them. I can really picture in my mind how the places, situations, & characters look.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did laugh. None of my favorite characters died.

Any additional comments?

Lost in Latin America

I love the Gideon character! I used to picture him as a sexy, dark chocolate warrior, but this book which delves into his heritage, changes all that. He's even more of a mystery now. Gideon has ISSUES, but I guess he'd have to, to be a hitman. EJD leaves a lot of loose ends, so I guess we'll have to wait until the next installment in the series comes out on Audible to find out what happened. Great book. My only complaint is that the plethora of Spanish became distracting at times and there was a heavy emphasis on the Medianoche (Midnight) and "schrapnel face girl" characters -- neither of whom I liked. I anxiously await the next book!
