Publisher's summary

After a lifetime of raising hell, King uses earnings collected over a lengthy and chaotic career in government black-ops to purchase a mountaintop villa on the island of Corsica. He coasts through a peaceful existence as the owner of a seaside bar in the serene Bay of Calvi....

Then, after a sudden and violent chain of events, he resurfaces on the radar. His old unit - a clandestine special ops division known only as Black Force - deem him a danger to society, classifying his retirement as a colossal failure. They send their most dangerous active operative to Corsica...to put him away for good.

What happens when Jason King meets his match?

My testosterone is climbing

I can feel my testosterone climb as we shoot our way to a better world! (And I’m a girl!) I knew what it was when I picked it and it’s a fine book for this genre.

So awesome!

I absolutely love all these books. The solo Jason King and Will Slater. As well as when they team up. These guys are wild and fearless. Thank you for these

A shocking twist at the end!

This is my favorite of the three novels in the Jason King series to date. Whoever is writing the publisher's summary set up this novel perfectly, so read it and maybe some of the reviews. Roger Wayne's narration is superb.

I will repeat a comment I made in my review of the prior novel in the series. The action and suspense are extreme, but the plot is also very strong.

So exciting. Love Jason King..

I really enjoy Jason King and look forward to the next book. This one introduced another Black Force member, one sent to kill Jason, but who became a good friend instead. Together they killed every person who was involved in human trafficking, and they all deserved it.

Only fade-to-black sex and a promise of things to come when Jason was finished with his work. The F-bomb was used 50 times.

As for the narration: Roger Wayne is a wonderful narration for this kind of book.

Jason King RELOADED =Lots of Action

I enjoyed this book. If you're looking for a light fun story with plenty of action then this is the book. The whole book takes place ice the course of a little more than 24 hours.
The book opens with King being settled down. He's bought a bar and a home and met a woman. One day he's recognized by a mercenary from his past and when the man comes after him with his friends Jason kills them. When his former handler discovers what is now a third incident involving him and not knowing the situation she dispatches another operative to kill him.
What happens next is a whole lot of shooting, hand to hand, car chases and a few other things that I won't mention.
The books end is a real shocker! I sure didn't see this coming. The ending is so ironic it makes me want to read the next one and I hope soon.
I've enjoyed this whole series. This is book #3, like I said it is light reading and the characters are not really fleshed out but more glossed over, relationships are not real deep but the stories are nonstop from beginning to end and never get boring.
I RECOMMEND this book, especially if you can get it through kindle unlimited at the discount price.

Really Enjoyed

I have read the first two books in the Jason King series. i found them entertaining, but felt no need to rush to read the next book in the series. This was a series I turned to while waiting on a new release from one of my favorite authors. However, this book surprised me. I thoroughly enjoyed each word. The author explored the main characters' emotional sides. The way he humanized these warriors while allowing them to remain lethal "badasses" elevated the series into the "need to read the next one category."

A series worth discovering

This is the third book in the Jason King series I have purchased from Audible and I have enjoyed each one from beginning to end. Matt Rogers has created a complex but complete bad ass character in Jason King. Each book has been completely unique and packed with virtually non-stop action. I don't normally leave reviews although I rate all books. I felt obligated to write out a review this time because I believe that anyone who starts the Jason King series will love it as much as I do. I read virtually every military thriller I can. I also love Tom Wood's Victor the Assassin series as well. Give Matt Rogers a try. You won't be disappointed!!

Good overall

Good story but poor attention to detail. Like not sleeping after a concussion? That’s false info. Also, calling AR-15’s assault rifles? Talk about stupid and possibly political crap! AR’s are not full auto and NOT assault rifles 😉 The author has Promise but a lot to desire when your used to the story, details and accuracy with Robert Crais, Michael Connelly, Lee Child and Orphan X by Hurwitz. At least his characters are 1,000% better than the Gray Man!

Who edits these things

It seems the author can’t remember what he wrote even two or three paragraphs before and the performer mispronounces so many words I was shocked. I’ll try one more of this series to see if this is an anomaly. The performer did have the ability to switch voices rapidly. Oh and the dialogue between characters was pretty weak at times.
