Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I don't care for accent of narrator. I'm sure others love it but I was annoyed by it.

The narrators were very good. Characters likeable. A couple of surprises, although I did know who one of the villains was right away.

Royally Disappointing
I am a huge Patterson fan. I have been enjoying the “private“ series. At least til now. This story however is hugely disappointing and trite. The characters are shallow. The action is weak. Overall, I was highly disappointed. I am hoping that the other book that I bought, “princess“ is not like this one.

Very Short but Very Good
I was hesitant about buying one of these "short" stories but for $8.00 I thought what the heck. I'm glad I did. Unlike the 8+ hours of the unabridged books, these short stories got right to the point. No time for character development or other "fillers". Sometimes that's good, sometimes bad.
This story was good with a decent ending. Narration was also good.

Not his best work :-(
I’ve listened to quite a few of the James Patterson Private series audiobooks on Audible. This is by far the worst of the series thus far. The character development wasn’t as detailed. The story felt rushed and it was quite Predictable. Sadly, this is not up to the high standard I’m used to from James Patterson.

Only 24 Hours
Jack has done some investigation for wealthy people before but in this book he is hired by the Royal family. Someone has kidnaped one of the members of the Royal family and is threatening to execute them for everyone to see. Jack and his Private team are pressed with only 24 hours to stop this horrible crime from happening. This book is short but sweet, it will keep you on the edge of your seat for every chapter.

I like that the book shots are short enough to enjoy in one sitting buy long enough to allow for some good story development. enough twists and turns to satisfy.
