Best in a long time! I go through 4-6 books per month and haven’t been this hooked in awhile! So distracting I Could NOT get anything else done until I finished it. Thank goodness.... I was starting to think I’d read and or heard all the good ones and after a few years might need to take a break. Really enjoyed this book !

I thought this was a well written book. I'm not sure if I was crazy about the whole thing but overall I thought it was very good.
Teenage girls are kidnapped and held somewhere underground in a basement. They never actually see the kidnapper but hear his voice through a voice changer. When they do see him he's wearing a mask. He gives them rules, when to get up, go to bed, use the bathroom and practice dance. When they disobey he beats them and when he decides they won't work into his plans he kills them. He has a stage set up and for hours every day they must practice their ballet (while on a chain). While I am not a dancer, I can't quite get this picture in my head.
The majority of this book is told from more then one teenage girls' point of view. I again had to remind myself that this is a work of fiction. These girls have great critical thinking and problem solving skills, way beyond their years.
Once I got past these issues, I really did enjoy this book. It's an excellent police procedural/psychological thriller with some really super twists. I would have never guessed who the kidnapper/killer was even though he was involved fairly early in.
The five narrators did an outstanding job. Each of the key characters was given their own voice.
