Publisher's summary

Mrs. Packington felt alone, helpless, and utterly forlorn. But her life changed when she stumbled upon an advertisement in the Times that read: "Are you happy? If not, consult Mr. Parker Pyne."

Equally adept at putting together the fragments of a murder mystery or the pieces of a broken marriage, Mr. Parker Pyne is possibly the world's most unconventional private investigator. Armed with just his intuitive knowledge of human nature, he is an Englishman abroad, traveling the globe to solve and undo crime and misdemeanor.

as hastings or narrating parker Payne investigates lovely, wish he had done more in Hercule Poirot complete short stories as in certain stories in collection did not sound like him, but he has nice voice.

Super

This is by far the most fun I've had with Agatha Christie! It is a bit predictable, but really entertaining.

Parker pyne is not endearing

Parker pyne is a new character to me. while the story lines are intriguing and even surprising, the character of Parker was poorly developed. I did not have a good sense of his underlying personality or motivations. Hugh Fraser did a phenomenal job, as usual, and brought these stories to life.

Short story Gems by Agatha Christie

I'd never heard of Parker Pyne! Agatha Christie's sunnier and more romantic side! Glad I listened!

Fabulous performance

It never ceases to amaze me that Hugh Frasier can voice so many different characters (the female characters a little less successfully). Highly recommended for Christie fans.

Ineresting listen

Hugh Fraser's narration makes every book better. This short story collection featuring Parker Pyne was a departure from the usual Poirot or Miss Marple and made for an interesting listen.
