Publisher's summary

You see plenty of strange things when you're a PI in Las Vegas, but even that couldn't prepare ex-cop Robert Hoskins for what was to come. At first he couldn't believe that all those stories he'd been told as a child were true. But hearing that the fae had taken the casinos over from the mob was something else. Elves, dwarves, werewolves and faeries were just the beginning and battling dark mages, the opening act.

Having banished his enemy to the cold hell of Tartarus, he'll now have to travel to the fae lands to claim his birthright. Along the way, and after, there's demons and dragons to fight and a trip down the river Styx to the gates of Hades itself is on the playlist if he'll want to defeat the dark fae's minions and undo an ancient curse.

Sin City will never be the same.

The story was great the audio quantity meh

I am really enjoying the tale of Robert.

This recording has a hall like effect throughout the reading. The narrator does a good job it is perfectly understandable but not up to the quality I am used to from audible books.

Some issues on both story and performance.

Not a bad story overall. My major issues is the author really needs to get a editor to proof for for consistency. They kept changing names of God's with others and even within a chapter the story changes facts. PROOFING NEEDED.

As for the performance, the sound comes out scratchy and distant like it was recorded in a low quality sound stage. Many parts of the story when different people talk volume changes drastically. This causes you to miss part and then feel like you are screamed at.

Ok the audio is bad but hear me out.

The author is well aware of the audio problems he is just as unhappy about it as we all are I just thought all of you should know.

poor audio quality

The audio sounds like the performance was recorded through a tube. The reader does a decent job with different characters but has an odd cadence to his speech which is off putting at first. You get used to it and the overall read doesn't suffer too much. Reading the next book in the series is almost required for the flow of these stories. I almost suggest having all three books before starting these reads.

Audio is terrible

Audio is terrible, story would feel so much better if the audio wasn't so distorted.

Great Narrator!

Troth really adds to the story. He is subtle and creative with his voice and timing.
I also like were Keller took the story with this book and look forward to where he will take the characters next.

Audio Quality

Decent story is overshadowed by the very poor audio quality. Hopefully the rest of the series is done better.

Sounds like it was recorded under a bridge

Interesting story but needs more characters development. The recording quality was terrible! Rey distractingly .... but I will try one more book but I’m not sure I can recommend this one

Oddly....

Maybe it’s just me, but I was expecting something different for a second book. Never mind the odd sound quality. The narrator sounded like he had his head in a bucket. But the progression of the plot. This seemed like a collection of short stories woven together to form a book. There was no one connective plot to the whole thing.
