No ONE IS SAFE

This is ground zero. The place that it all began. For those who don't know, this is sort of like the Secret Origin of M&S, never revealed until know. This is When Monty Met Simon, minus the restaurant scene. And, this is the perfect time for you to get in on the ground floor.

I'm talking about Monty and Strong started out having already been together, Simon was cursed, and Monty was . . . .well, Monty. Fans of the series had been waiting to see how they hooked up and started kicking butt, and the amazing Orlando Sanchez finally gave them what they wanted. In doing so, he answered some questions, and like a good necromancer he raised some more. I get really tired of Harry Dresden and Nate Temple being the end all be all of Urban Fantasy. They are good, but M&S stand shoulder to shoulder with them, and could go toe to toe and be the last one standing. If you like Urban Fantasy then this is the place to start. Don't miss out.

In this story, Monty and Simon meet while investigating the disappearances of children. I liked the Oscar/Felix relationship that they had at first, which was natural if you knew their personalities. They face off against two gods of the Hindu Pantheon, and needless to say you never go against a god and walk away unscathed. At least the pair gain some respect for one another, and we get to see a budding friendship since a bro-mance is out of the question with them.

Sanchez has a punchy writing style, and by that I mean he hits you when you let your guard down. He writes hard and fast, packs in action, as well as intellectual concepts that strike like a cobra. One thing that threw me for a loop was the need for two narrators, not that I am complaining as Logsdon is practically a legend, and Brown does a fantastic job for someone who I believe is new to the gig (I couldn't find anything but this book that he had narrated). Best of all, I finally get to say that I didn't get this book with a code, and its awesomeness is the only thing that spurred me to review it. I heartily suggest that you get this book and introduce yourself to this dynamic duo. Like right now. Seriously, get this now and enter a magical world of Urban Fantasy unlike any that you have seen before.

Good prequel!

No God is Safe by Orlando A. Danny and narrated by John P. London and Matt Brown appears to be the prequel to a new series. The main characters consist of a tough private investigator( or detective) and a mage. They have to deal with a squabble between Gods without getting themselves killed! Pretty clever and interesting. Definitely worth following this series.
Great narration!

An Enjoyable Short Story & Great Start To A Series

“No God Is Safe” is a short story about a private investigator, Simon Strong and a renegade, British mage, Tristan Montague, who find themselves teamed up on a case involving missing children and a couple of shady Hindu Gods. The story and narration are both excellent. They both serve to create a great origin for a new series. I look forward to the next story. I just hope it will be a lot longer.

Finally, this audiobook was provided by the narrator no cost in exchange for an honest review, courtesy of Audio Book Boom.

The beginning of a beautiful relationship

I freely admit to being addicted to Montague and Strong. I've read the book and truly enjoyed Heaton it come to life. It has all the characteristics of a good M&S story, snark, good dialog, magic, and the destruction of buildings. The story itself is a prequel that explains how the two met. And explains (sort of) many other thin he peculiar to Simon.

An excellent introduction to a very enjoyable urban fantasy series.

The required reading for the series.

I foolishly thought the Number one book in the series would be the first one. How frustrated I was during That reading. There was no introduction the characters or anything of the like. Thankfully I found this one that helps put everything into perspective.

How they met

I have read this story on my Kindle, and decide to listen to it. I found I enjoyed it very much, the narrator and the person that does Monty's voice are great, they really bring the story to life. It is how Monty and Simon met, along with how Simon's mouth and also his big heart got him cursed with everliving life. Along with the reason you should not mess with Karma.

I only hope there will be more Monty and Simon audible books and that they keep the same people doing it.
