On the trail of a bloody killer....

Frank Quinn is sure he is hunting for a madman: someone who is shooting young women in the heart, defiling their bodies, leaving only the torsos to be found. Quinn, a former NYPD detective, is called into the case by an ambitious chief of police and mobilizes his team of brilliant law-enforcement misfits. But in the concrete canyons of New York, this shocking serial murder case is turning into something very different...

A cop and a victim fight back....

Jill Clark came to the city with too many hopes and too little cash. Now a seemingly deranged woman is telling her an extraordinary story. New to an exclusive dating service, Jill is warned that other women have died on their dates - and that she could be next. Struggling against a death trap closing in around her, Jill has a powerful ally in Frank Quinn. But no one knows the true motives behind a rampage of cold-blooded murder - or how much more terrifying this is going to get....

Night Kills

I really enjoy John Lutz stories and this one is a great listen. It is the third in a series(#1-Darker Than Night #2-In For The Kill). I always enjoy listening in order because of the character
development. This story along with the others in this series really kept my interest peaked all the way through. Some of the story matter is a little rough but it is fast paced with great dialogue. The reader Scott Brick is one of the best and really adds wonderfully to the read. I give this one 5 stars.

Author has a sick mind. LOL love these books!

Wow another psycho killer is out there.

I love these books, the characters, the story lines and plots.

If you are adverse to gruesome details this is not the author for you. But if you can handle a little of it they are fantastic books and I highly recommend this series.

Lots of dialogue in these books.

As for the narration, amazing of course. It's Scott Brick. I am a true fan of his.

Night Kills

Nice twisted ending. Quinn finds double trouble behind every corner. So far my favorite. Can't wait to start book number three!

One of a master's best!

Any additional comments?

This book is well crafted and performed. It engaged me early and kept me listening.

I don't care for this format of review. I don't think it is on a par with the outstanding work to be reviewed. Of course, I may be incorrect.

Absurd Characters unqualified to be Cops!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Realistic Characters that were serious professionals

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not John Lutz!

What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?

Excellent as Always! the one constant that made made finish the book!

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment!

Any additional comments?

Pearl is the dumbest portrayal of a Woman Cop I have ever heard portrayed in a story! She isn't smart enough to be a Bank guard!

Good....but sometimes unanswered storylines

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Sort of - the author sometimes goes into deep explanations about characters/situations and then the storyline either drops or has a short explanation. I don't want to give examples as to spoil anything. I noticed this in the first book, In for the Kill, as well. Having just completed the Eve Dallas series, by J.D. Robb, where the characters and storylines continue in some way shape or form I think I got a bit spoiled.

What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?

He is always a great reader and his voice is clear for easy listening.

Definitely an euuuuuu - but another great listen

This murder story is definitely gross but details are sketchy for the most part, thank goodness. Typical killer with unresolved issues but different. This killer has issues for sure but plays it out a bit differently. And as usual, Lutz is still one of my favorites.

Skip this

Poorly written. No plot, seems to go no where. This is a mystery that is not a mystery.I never found out why the bodies were trunkated. Waste of Scot Brick's talent.

Boring, skip it.
