Publisher's Summary

FBI agent Cookie James is enjoying her extended leave from the agency on Secret Seal Isle, managing her quaint inn, and flirting with the oh-so sexy-handyman, Dylan Creed . . . until her 60-year-old mother goes skinny dipping and is almost drowned by a corpse.
A phone call to the sheriff should mean the end of Cookie’s involvement, but when it’s clear the sheriff has no interest in the investigation, Cookie calls in reinforcements - her ex-partner Hunter O’Neil.
Suddenly it’s like old times while the pair questions the residents of Secret Seal Isle. Except it’s not. Now she has both Hunter and Dylan vying for her attention, a wayward hippy mother, and a potential killer on the loose. With her love life heating up, her mother lighting up, and all signs pointing to the most unlikely suspect, Cookie does the only thing she knows to do - focus on solving the case.

Great Book!

This is a great book; this is the first book in the Secret Seal Isle Mystery series written by Lucy Quinn and narrated by Traci Odom. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I am a really Big Fan of this series Cookie James is a former FBI agent hiding out from the Mob and now running an Inn on Secret Sea Island with her mother a flower child kinda Mom and has hired a sexy handy man. When a dead body turns up She then enlists the help of her sexy ex partner . There is a whole bunch of interesting people on the island and lots of twist on the story as they solve the mystery. This is a laugh out loud moments with Rain's antics and a very enjoyable listen. The narrator did a great job at putting a voice to Cookie and characters and helped me enjoy this book over again.

Entertaining and engaging, if fairly lightweight

Not a bad introduction to a series of (presumably) not-quite official investigations involving an FBI agent laying low from the mob, and I enjoyed Traci Odom's narration.

Entertaining collection of characters, which I suspect will grow with the series, and who will be involved in different ways, and with a potential competition for her attention from two men, one with a mysterious past.

This would make an entertaining "not-very-serious" TV show.
