Publisher's summary

Jessica Fletcher may not know much about art - but she sure knows when someone is being framed.

While on vacation in Italy, Jessica joins a tour that takes her to where lesser-known Italian masterworks are displayed - and where a pair of young Italian gunmen steal a painting off a church wall, killing an off-duty policeman in the process.

Agreeing to help identify the crooks at a later date should they be caught, Jessica returns to Cabot Cove and puts the shocking experience behind her. But months later, both art and death land on her doorstep when the son of an old friend appears to beg her for help in solving his mother's murder - which may take Jessica all the way back to Italy....

Sandra Burr has finally grown on me

These books are for fun and escape. Pulitzer winners they are not. However, they are well written and well constructed stories with characters thousands have come to love. Sandra Burr performs well. I don't care for her male character voices, but overall, she does a good job. Want to escape for a few hours and ease some stress and anxiety in your life? You don't need to worry about the order in which you read them and the stories will keep you occupied. Sit back, suspend belief (and in some cases judgment) and enjoy a few hours of respite from our cold cruel world.

Nothing is Sacred Anymore

The story made you part of where ever it took you. Scenic, visual and beautiful at the same time. Wish I knew if the statements in the story were actual or if just fiction. Very interesting subject: forgeries. Keeps you wanting to know more......

Kept me guessing to the end!

Very well done. A twist in the beginning set me off on the wrong direction, but the story was well developed. This is a favorite!

Good listen

The narrator does a very good job and the story was good. What I expected.

One of the Best

This Murder She Wrote mystery definitely ranks in the top five. I listened to it in one sitting. It held my interest the whole time. I was on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what would happen next. I enjoyed the story line and the plot twists. It was really captivating and suspenseful!!!

First time I wasn’t fully satisfied

I enjoyed the series and the books I read previously. This book added very little to the experience of “Murder, She Wrote”.
My problems were a trip to Italy and two deaths that only marginally touch on the crime Jessica investigated. The forgery plot didn’t come into the husband’s death. There was an odd occurrence that led to the eventual resolution that could have been done other ways.
This wasn’t a bad book but not the best in this series.

Miss old narrator.

I really liked Cynthia Darrow's narration of this series. This narrator is good, but not as good as Ms. Darrow.

Just ok

A few too many plots in this one. While they ultimately all tied together, less would have been more in this case.
