Light and fun murder thriller

There are quite a few choices in the light and fun mystery/thriller category. Few are better than Lynn Cahoon's tourist trap mysteries. I award this book 5 stars realizing that it is not great literature. Susan Boyce does a really nice job of narrating. Recommended as a nice break from heavier/more serious mysteries.

Light and Fun

Any additional comments?

This series is just delightful. No, it's not fine literature, but if you're driving or doing chores, it's highly entertaining. The characters are nuanced enough and the stories are interesting. Just finished #3 and am bereft of joy that there's no #4...yet?

Another good book

Overall, this book is okay. The main character, Jill, isn't very bright and there are many times when I had to shake my head at her thoughtlessness. There is a very good supporting cast of characters and the mystery plot is actually very good. I would recommend this to anyone who likes light mysteries and a little romance.

Another Fun Tourist Trap Mystery

Any additional comments?

I appear to really be getting into "cozy mysteries". I'm having fun, and this is no different. It's the second book of the series (of which I've listened to the first and third), and it seems to keep me on my toes. There are enjoyable twists and surprises. Fun, relaxing, read (or listen, as the case may be :-) )

Needs Stronger Female Lead

This series needs a much stronger female lead character. Jill, a former lawyer and current business owner, desperately needs to grow a backbone. She moved to a small town where she allows other residents to walk all over her and seems to question her lifestyle and relationships. While not expecting Jill to be superwoman, it is annoying at times when she constantly doubts herself.

Pretty good, story kept my interest.

The narration is fine, and I like the story.I would prefer to if they didn't talk about food so much....

cute story

I quite enjoyed this 2nd book in the series, but there were a few times I wished the story world move a little faster. I appreciate the fact that her books are clean and free of profanity.

Mission to fail.

Too much chatter and not enough mystery story. Need more substance of story to keep interest up.
