Publisher's Summary

Meet Miss Zukas, the very proper, exceedingly conscientious, and relentlessly curious local librarian of Bellehaven, Washington. The Bellehaven police are baffled when a dead body turns up right in the middle of the library's fiction stacks. But Miss Helma Zukas - who never fails to make note of the slightest deviation from the norm - is not willing to let this nasty disruption stand. If the local law can't open the book on this case, Miss Zukas certainly intends to - with the help of her not-so-proper best friend, Ruth, a six-foot bohemian artist with a nose for gossip and a penchant for trouble.
This is the first entry in the 12-book series originally published by Avon/HarperCollins.

Would you listen to Miss Zukas and the Library Murders again? Why?

Great characters, both main and characters. Set on the lovely North West coast. A bit of romance & Lithuanian culture, Always interesting and great mystery twists. I hope Audible will add the rest of the series, What other books have a fearless librarian as sleuth?

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ruth, the crazy artist childhood friend. Hilarious and always getting Zukas into trouble.

Which character – as performed by Crystal Sershen – was your favorite?

All the performances are spot on

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Did you know what dangerous places libraries can be, even if you don't read?

Any additional comments?

Please please please make the rest of the series available on!

I love Miss Zukas!

I have all the books and had hoped to have all in Audible too. Alas, only the first book is available. Miss Zukas' personality grows with each, and soon, I felt as though she was a close friend. I love each mystery and the character development. The audible book narrator was a tad dry for my taste.
