Publisher's summary

In Mercy 6, David Bajo's courageous new medical thriller, four people collapse dead in the same instant within a newly renovated Los Angeles hospital. Dr. Mendenhall, the woman who is head of the emergency room, isn't convinced the cause of death is a contagion. But it's in the interests of the hospital administrators - and of the world at large - for people to think that it is. If the world knew the truth there could only be widespread panic. The hospital is immediately locked down. Information is suddenly being strictly controlled. Government troops encircle the hospital to enforce the quarantine, and other bodies arrive in the ER. Working with an ally in pathology and a colleague outside the hospital, Mendenhall develops her understanding that what has taken these lives has global implications…and whatever it is, it's not a virus.

Can't belive I finished this book!

Any additional comments?

I love a good medical thriller-I'm even an R.N.-but this book went on forever and I was confused the entire time. It never made any sense-very disappointing

Skip this. It is one of the worst ever.

There are very few books that I don't like at all, but this was one. The reader had one voice, very mono-tone, with no differentiation between different characters. The story itself was very convoluted and the details were confusing. I was constantly lost and had to go back to figure out exactly what was going on. The reader made this worse, because I was never sure who was speaking. Unfortunately, I can tell that the plot idea was really good. It was just that the development was extremely poor. I would not recommend this book and probably will not get any more by this author. I am being generous when I give it 2 stars.

Wasted hour and wasted data to download

I suffered through an entire hour, still had almost no idea what the characters were about. The idea sounded good, the reality was dull, non starter.

Don't waste a credit

What was most disappointing about David Bajo’s story?

Very slow moving. I"m on chapter 20 and can't force myself to finish it. I've hung in there for this long hoping the story would pick up, but no luck.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Aimee Jolson?

This narrator was only part of the problem, yes she was slow and sluggish sounding even after I turned the speed up to 1.5 but she was not to blame for the slow story.
