Great series not my favorite book
I love this whole series!! This book seemed a little disjointed though. I would still recommend the series though.

More, more, more, I want more.
More, more, more, I want more. Unfortunately, I already read/listened to the next in the series. I didn’t see this installment before I started to the next. I like to read books in the order they were intended to be read/listened to. I’m a big fan of this series and always look for the next to be released.

OMG! Gertie Befriends Alligator Godzilla
Fun read. Gertie befriends alligator & names it Godzilla, lol. Carter forced to arrest boy (Gertie's relative) for alligator poaching; Swamp Team 3 try to catch real poacher, leading to another hilarious adventure at Swamp Bar. Fortune decides to leave CIA once Ahmad is dealt with but unsure about her future. Fortune & Carter are on again, romantic dinner coming up.

So funny!!
I love these books! Such fun distraction! The stories are fun, the characters engaging with quirks and a great sense of community, even if their judgment is a bit off sometimes 😆! This one had me laughing so hard I startled the cat!

OMG..LMAO
I am still going strong with this Miss Fortune Mystery series & these ladies are hilarious. I really am enjoying this series and once again Gertie has me in stitches...lmao I am about to listen to the next book now. The story line and the characters are really well written and developed.

Funny and Scary
While the idea of living in a place with gators gives me the creeps, this book manages to be funny and engrossing. I love how Fortune develops a healthy relationship with Carter without their romance becoming the main topic of each plot.

Later Gator is book 9 in the Miss Fortune Mystery series. This series is set in Sinful, Louisiana, USA and follows Fortune, who is a CIA assassin in hiding, and old ladies Gertie and Ida Belle, who are lifelong Sinful residents and ex-spy war veterans, as they help solve a string of various crimes and murders.
I stumbled across these books when I decided to check out a new-to-me genre called Cozy Mysteries and someone recommended this series. Once I listened to the first book, I couldn't stop. I have been listening to all of the books back to back.
In Later Gator, someone has been poaching alligators and has set a local boy up to take the fall. Fortune and her crew decide to jump in to do a little investigating when they find out the boy has been arrested. They all know that someone set him up and they won't stand for it. Also, Fortune and Ida Belle discover that Gertie has a pet alligator named Godzilla. And thanks to Gertie and her ridiculous antics, Godzilla has a taste for baked goods.
I recommend this series and suggest that you read each book in order as it builds upon the prior story and makes everything that much more entertaining and enjoyable. If you like your books with a nice dose of humor, this is the series for you. I have found myself laughing out loud too many times to count.
The narrator does a good job. She is the same narrator for the whole series.

Later Gator audio
Very entertaining and fun listening to.my husband and I both enjoyed and laughed at the antics. I feel some of the characters were written in as being totally clueless or unnaturally Niamey considering.but, I will definitely listen to again and to any one wanting to laugh and snicker/chuckles❣️💃🏻💆🏻♀️🙀😆
