Walt goes under the knife for a heart operation and, while in the hospital, stumbles upon a series of mysterious deaths that are certainly not from natural causes.
He solves that mystery only to discover that people on the transplant waiting list are suddenly dying as well.
Then, information about a terrorist plot is found on a heart attack victim who has been rushed to the ICU.
Throughout it all, Walt discovers that there are many ways that a person may die of a broken heart.

Life is Precious

I think this book is very thought provoking in regards to how precious life is and yet it brings some humor to difficult moments. The brevity of our mortality is something one does try to put off. I am so glad that Walt is still around the Lady Justice series, and that the author, Robert Thornhill was able to bring real life into this story. Due to the serious nature of the story, there is less humor than some of the other Lady Justice books, but maybe that is because Walt and Ox are not full time partners anymore. George Kuch continues to bring so many emotions to the book, and I found myself laughing, crying, and laughing some more. The main message I took away from this book is Life is Precious and live it to the fullest.

So much packed into one book!

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. I didn't think you could pack so much into one book. Walt suffers two health-related scares (that have nothing to do with his work), captures two separate serial killers, and foils a terrorist attack! Oh, and if that wasn't enough, the author makes a cameo appearance LOL. I don't know how he comes up with this stuff but I hope he never runs out of ideas!
