Publisher's summary

Darren Street faces the most personal and ruthless vendetta of his life.

After forfeiting years serving time for a false murder conviction, former criminal defense attorney Darren Street finally got his freedom back and is trying to build a regular life. But when an unthinkable tragedy shatters his hard-earned normalcy, Street is left reeling from the devastating blow.

As the criminal-justice system refuses to dispense justice, he sets out - without mercy - after the man responsible. Unwilling to stop at simply righting one wrong, Street decides to dust off his legal skills and dive back in - this time to unseat the district attorney general in Knoxville, whose callous indifference nearly let a man get away with murder.

Now navigating a broken establishment already steeped in corruption, Street will find the retribution and redemption he so desperately needs - unless it draws him even deeper into the very chaos that derailed his life in the first place.

Not as good as previous

What made the experience of listening to Justice Lost the most enjoyable?

I really enjoyed previous Darren Streets. This one lost me a bit because there were so many unlikely events piled up on each other. I'm Australian, we don't elect our officials, and I just couldn't accept that every single law enforcement official in the whole book was corrupt.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Pretty bloody unlikely

so sad

this series made my cry. Darren has the worst luck when it comes to the people he cares about. He is stupidly
brave & unafraid! I was glad to see the sheriff got his ba**s back an was able to become a legit law enforcer. I was disappointed in the author for forgetting about his son shawn when he was saying his goodbyes. it's sad its came to an end

Street is unreedemable

I listened to the whole series, hoping. Street did not redeem himself at all killing, did not make up for the past killings.

Pretty crazy, but good!

In this legal thriller series, author Scott Pratt, made the lawyer (main character) into a vigilante lawyer. I wasn't sure if I liked this at first, but I listened to all three books, and they were entertaining regardless. It sounds like there'll be more to come.

==> Good, maybe very good book made TEDIOUS!!!very sadly, by monotonous narration. Do yourself (and Mr. Pratt) a big favor by enjoying the printed word! (at least with this narrator) <==

Before starting this book on Kindle, I read all of Scott Pratt’s Dillard books available so far, and the first two Darrens. They were all page turners, and I’ve often found myself needing an extra cup of caffeine before work to make up for having read through (or past) the early hours of the morn. But I couldn’t get past about 2 minutes of this narration. To me, Mr. Cronin just goes through the motions, especially after I’ve had the chance to know the character through the first two Darrens.

Mr Cronin, we both know you can do better - I can tell by the way you give Granny so much more life than the main character! You might find it much more enjoyable just for yourself!

Loved this book

This trilogy is great. The second book was kind off all over the place, but this one made it all worthwhile. Ending good

This was a faced paced, interesting book in the vein of a James Patterson and Lee Childs. I have found a new author to read!
