Fast paced with plenty of action...

As the other reviewer for this book said, this is a Jack Reacher-ish sort of character with the biggest exception being that instead of him traveling around the United States he is a globe trotting "knight in shining armor "! He's also got some personal demons he's running from. He knows he's done some bad things in the name of good being a former DELTA but still can't help but feel guilt.
In this book he's in Australia. While sitting under a tree he sees two construction workers murdered in cold blood by what he believes are contract killers. When he goes to the closest town he finds it is very small and is being terrorized by a group of motorcyclists who think they are bad boys. That is until they meet Jason King, the protagonist. He's got all the time in the world to do what he thinks is right!! Sounds a little familiar huh? But with The bar being set by Lee Child it's kind of hard not to make comparisons. This story takes a strange twist about 1/2 way through and Jason realizes it's not so coincidental that he's there at the same time as the hired guns, he recognizes someone he used to work with.
Anyway, I found this to be a very entertaining, fast paced, action packed and believable book. No superman antics. It will be interesting to see how this character progresses.
Roger Wayne does the narration. I've never listened to him before but thought he did a great job.
My next purchase will be the newly released second book in this series.

Started off okay - Got steadily worse throughout

This book doesn't make any sense.. A Jack Reacherish type person... No reason to be doing what he's doing. A random do-gooder who makes it his business to get into things not his business. Dramatic - Chaotic - Ridiculous..

It's too bad - The Narrator was pretty good & The idea of the character was okay.

Stopped listening with a bit to go.
