Donada Peters
absolutely love the dollanganger series. Why I must have listened to it a hundred times. Donada Peters made it come alive for me. it was magical!
This time however, narrated by Mena Subaru & Gillian Flynn I was left longing for the old readings I love so much. Even though this is the same story, it isn't the same story.
But eventually I forgot about all that and just enjoyed listening :) 👍👍

Very captivating
I've read the first two books in this series and, so far, this one (the third of five) was the best. The story keeps moving and answers a lot of questions the first two bring about in the readers. The narrator does a great job and makes listening a pleasure.

Revisiting my teen years with a entrancing story!
I've waited so long to "read" these books again although they all sit in physical form on my book shelf to this day. I was not disappointed by the retelling of this tale and was particularly fascinated hearing the story from Bart's perspective. A great telling of the story through the eyes of the boys as the stories continue! I highly recommend this series. As an adult, I see SO MUCH MORE than I did as a teenager about the complexities of this story and it's great to revisit. This narrator is good (though changes the pronunciations of things from previous readings... I really wish the readers listened to their predecessors before embarking on their projects!) and puts a great voice to Bart though I am a little less convinced of Jory's voice here... still "good" but just not what I thought I'd hear. LISTEN though. Such a great series, don't miss out on this one!

Riveting!!!
This book kept my attention from beginning to the end. I read the series Flowers in the attic when I was in my early teens. I had to have each book. I had my head buried so deep in the books, that my mom had to see what I was reading. She then asked to see the first book in the series. I thought that I was in trouble, until she had finished reading it, and asked for the second book; then the next until she had passed me up. This series is even better now than before, because there were things that I didn't understand then that I can now. Excellent writing. It's tie to move to the next book again, in this series.
