Publisher's summary
The Hostage. Police officer Helen Weeks walks into her local newsagent's on her way to work. Little does she know that this simple daily ritual will change her life forever. Enjoyable
As usual with Mark Billigham's books I enjoyed this Tom Thorne novel - however the author should not have narrated it. He should understand the characters better than anyone and yet it sounds as if its the first time he's met them. The mood suffers as a result of this.

Enjoyable
As usual with Mark Billigham's books I enjoyed this Tom Thorne novel - however the author should not have narrated it. He should understand the characters better than anyone and yet it sounds as if its the first time he's met them. The mood suffers as a result of this.
