Forgoing the Hassles of Divorce...

This is a cute, quick, darkly humorous listen about a group of girlfriends who jokingly discuss how much better off they would be without their husbands… What a totally fun listen. The author and narrator are both new to me, and I am so happy to have found this. I hope there are more to come.

Julie Hoverson captured the spirit of the writing really well. She did a great job with both male and female voices, had good pronunciation and pacing and was clear and easy to understand. She didn't just narrate the book, she performed it. She conveyed snarky, bitchy, concerned, flirtatious, apprehensive, supportive, celebratory, etc.-- just the right amount of emotion in just the right places. Perfectly awesome. Women must stick together

Although a short story, this amazing story has intrigue. I was curious all the way to the end of these women would hold up to their promises to each other, or maybe it was the cute bartender. Guess you have to listen to find out.

Fast, fun story

Any additional comments?

This is purely a fun fantasy about a group of unhappily married women who agree to bump off each other's husbands. The first-person narrator, soccer mom Lindsey, is just an average housewife who finds herself plotting a murder while carpooling and making pancakes. Be prepared to suspend your disbelief because there are lots of holes in the plot but get past that and you'll have a good laugh.

Any additional comments?

"Husband Swapping" but its not what you are thinking!

Girl's Night has it all, Humor, Suspense, and Smart Women.

This was a short, fast paced intriguing read.

The women contemplate an action, To "bump off " someone or not..

Julie Hoverson did really well with the narration, her voice and tone added to the story.

Reminiscent of Strangers on a Train

This was a fun story, reminiscent of Strangers on a Train, but without the strangers. Or the train. Plus a book club. I thought the concept was funny, the writing was good, and for such a short story the characters were well defined. I think it would make a great book if Faver ever decides to elaborate on the story. The only issue I had was how little the detectives looked at the connection between the women.

Julie Hoverson does a great job narrating. There isn't a lot of material so it's hard to say how extensive her range is, but her comedic timing was good and her characters were distinct.

Fun listen!

This is a cute short cozy mystery. It kind of reminded me of The First Wives Club only took things a step further! Five women go to their "book club" every week and after weeks of complaining about their husbands decide they should each kill one of them. After drawing the name of their intended, the plot begins. It is a lot of fun seeing the interesting ways these women came up with and their reactions after each. This book was short, the perfect length for a walk.

Julie Hoverson gives a fun performance. Lots of emotion and energy.
