Good book but mediocre narrator/production
Sandra Brown lived up to expectations with her latest novel but I found that the narrator spoilt it for me. Stephen Lang's Crawford Hunt sounded like a recovering alcoholic/caveman. The other characters were well depicted. I also found numerous instances during the narration where there had been editing, with the narrator's timbre suddenly changing and breaking the flow. A poor audiobook production, Hachette Audio, sorry!

Pretty good easy "read"
What did you love best about Friction?
It was a good story. Not very complex but an easy "read". It was predicable, not a lot of twists and turns in the plot.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The main character reminded me of Timothy Oliphant's character in the FX series Justified.
Did Stephen Lang do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
He did a decent job of the voices although the production was poor. There were obvious times that the editor had cut in different readings because the tone of his voice would abruptly change. These unfortunately were done in mid script and not during natural breaks in the story.
