Publisher's summary

She's serving up mayhem in the Magic City....

FINAL STRAW

Dishing out bad news is Jackie Parker's job. So when her boss grabs her assets one time too many, she serves him her notice and hopes he chokes on it. There must be a better way for a certified process server to make a living in Miami than working for a lousy lecherous lawyer. Whatever Jackie decides, her number one priority is to spend time with her husband, Luke, preferably without his brother Logan - AKA the Dark Prince.

FINAL WARNING

Despite Logan's objections, Luke asks her to join forces in their own property management team, Damaged Goods. Drawing the line between professional and personal lives proves challenging, especially when Logan serves her an ultimatum - tell Luke the truth about what really happened the night they first met, or he will. Sexual harassment is looking better and better.

FINAL NOTICE

Fester Gomez is three months behind on the rent for his pricey South Beach condo and Damaged Goods is on the job. Either they convince the tenant to pay up or he'll face eviction. The simple task turns deadly when the team discovers Gomez missing and a Jane Doe slowly decomposing in his bathtub. Serving a killer up to justice, wrestling family secrets - it's just another day on the job for Damaged Goods.

Fire Hot

Now I really don't know which of Ms.Hart's series I like better. I love them all.
Final Notice went beyond my expectations with just the right amount of intrigue and humour and fire-hot tension - just enough to keep me on my toes.
Seriously, do yourself a favor and read or listen to this book. It's well worth it!

Great

I read this book in 2015 but during recovery from an operation I decided to listen to my audible version. The narrator does a good job.

I love this series and highly recommend.

Laughed to and only cried a little

As much as I adored Final Notice from the first time I read it on my ebook, I enjoyed listening to the Audible version narrated by Suzanne Cerreta even more. That is saying a lot since I am not a big fan of audio books, or at least I had not been before now, and I am a big fan of the series. Final Notice by Jennifer L. Hart is without a doubt the best audio book I have had the pleasure of listening to. Now I have to get the other Audible books in the Damaged Goods series, and maybe try a few other audio books.

Damaged Goods is a limited series of only three books and one novella, but it is one of my favorites. I love cozy mysteries that do not fit the mold and this series is in a class of its own. Between Jackie Parker's sass and Suzanne Cerreta delightful presentation, I laughed until the last page and only cried a little. Ms. Hart gets all the credit for my swooning over both Luke and Logan.

Great start to a series!

Final Notice was a a book I requested to try out a new author and narrator. And was a gamble that really paid off. I had a great time listening to this cozy mystery and getting to know this family.

This book follows Jackie, her husband Logan and his brother Luke. Together they have formed a property management team, tough very reluctantly on some parts. There's a lot of tension in the team and secrets that have been buried for years. And when dead bodies starts to appear at the different sites, things take a turn for the worse.

There is a bit of a love triagle going on between the main characters. I'm not entirely sure what to think of it or where the author is going with it, I just hope it's not something that will be dragged on for books and books. For now though, I'm keeping an open mind.

Suzanne Cerreta is a phenominal narrator, or performer I should say. Her wide range of voices makes the listen effortless. And the feelings she added to the narration was always on point for the momentdepicted in the book. She truly took this book to another level and I can't wait to listsen to more of her in the future.

A copy of this book was generously gifted to me by the author.

A fantastic funny story

This is the funny cozy mystery. Jackie is married to Luke and Logan is her brother-in-law. Jackie is an attractive woman with full double d’s and a curvy figure. She is trailer trash who has went on to make something of her life and does not take shit from anyone. Her infectious personality facilitates her making friends. Her husband and brother-in-law are drop dead gorgeous with loving wealthy parents and they love her.

Damaged Goods is their new family business. The laughs start their first case, where they discover a dead body, to find a tenant who gets high on fecal matter. Their arguments are serious, should they drop a case, to banal personnel decisions; fire Jackie. Despite what-ever happens, Parkers are family, family sticks together and Jackie is center stage.

For Luke and Logan this is an opportunity for them to work together as brothers. For Jackie, it is time for her and Luke to really spend time in their marriage. He was in the war for most of their seven years of marriage; they have not had time enough to fight about how to dispense the toothpaste.

There are a sets of extended family members who are entertaining and deadly. You will not be able to put it down or stop laughing.

Mischief and mysteries

Final Notice is a fun fast paced book full of mischief, crazy jobs and mysteries. The book is full of fun twist and turns. I love the storyline and the crazy but strong characters. The narrator is excellent. The book is descriptive it almost makes me feel like I am apart of the action on the page.
This is my first book by this author but certainly not my last. This book is a highly recommended must read. I received this book at my request and this is my voluntary honest review.
