Rock solid 5 star suspense thriller

Fallen Hunter is Book 3 in the Jesse McDermitt/Caribbean Adventures series by Wayne Stinnett. At this point I am committed to listening to all 9 novels in the series. This series is a great find that I just happened to come across. McDermitt is a retired recon Marine sergeant now living in the middle Florida keys near Marathon. He has his own 2 acre island which is now well developed. He is also a member of a civilian military unit composed mostly of Navy SEALs that does special jobs for the US government. This novel is about taking down a group of Middle Eastern terrorists in a training camp in Cuba.

Stinnett does a great job of developing the repeating characters in the series. Nick Sullivan narrates the novels in this series. He is a good at narrating as George Guidall, Dick Hill, Will Patton, and maybe even Scott Brick.

I highly recommend this novel and this series. Although the series novels do not have to be read in order, the first two provide background information that is helpful in understanding the later stories.

- Wayne "I love espionage, legal, and detective thrillers but listen to most genres. Very frequent reviews. No plot spoilers! Please excuse my typos!"

What other book might you compare Fallen Hunter: A Jesse McDermitt Novel to and why?

The rest of the series, beacause they have the same charachters. Theres a few authors who write this genre, but Wayne Stinnet seems to of created a very good little world which he keeps growing with eahc book.

Which scene was your favorite?

No particular scene, but I enjoy him discussing the movements of special ops. He seems of have researched it well.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No, its not a deep novel that invokes emotion, just a good book to listen to while working or driving.
