Challenging Level A Book

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

This is instructional material for someone who is at least an upper intermediate student. For that sort of reader I'd recommend it.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

At least one additional narrator is necessary to handle female voices.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Jorge Peña?

This narrator gives it his all, even singing rock and roll. However, the music seems to be only an attempt at rock and roll. That could be because he's imitating current generation rockers with names like "Acid Rain." Real rock grabs a person, and before the 80s had a primal beat. But, I didn't buy this for the music. It could also be viewed as comedy. I would consider buying another book, but I do prefer multiple voice arrangements.

Did El monstruo del rock [The Rock Monster] inspire you to do anything?

Just to continue with my Spanish instruction. The section with eating was tempting.

Any additional comments?

Since it's level A, it could be a little slower. However, maybe this is level A. Spanish speakers are often incomprehensible due to the speed of their speech.
