Publisher's summary

Dr. Tyler Gentry had it all planned out, but the death of his parents in a plane crash changed everything. When he discovered his father had left him a mountain of debt, piled on top of his own student debt, the offer from Dr. William Hall to join his group of surgeons seemed a perfect solution. But the night before he was to start, Tyler received a call that told him to get out while he could.

Despite the salary and perks, Tyler found a curtain of mystery surrounding the surgical group. The only thing that made it worthwhile was the lovely operating room nurse, Ashley Wynn, with whom Tyler seemed to make an instant connection. But when their first date ended with his car exploding while she watched, Ashley seemed hesitant to continue their relationship.

The stakes continued to rise while Tyler was faced with his dilemma: stay or go?

Not extreme but I found it to be very good

Any additional comments?

Doctor’s Dilemma is another great medical suspense book by Dr. Richard L. Mabry. Since I listened to the audiobook version of the story, I can add that the narration was well done. I preferred the male narrator voice as opposed to the female voices that have narrated Dr. Mabry’s previous books.
You’ve got to feel for poor Dr. Tyler Gentry. Buried in student loans and in need of financial help, he’s found himself caught in a less than desirable situation. The option to be part of a booming practice seemed perfect for his dire straits. But as the saying goes when something looks too good to be true, it usually is. Murder, deception and the fight to survive kept the story high in suspense. I enjoyed Doctor’s Dilemma and would recommend any of Dr. Mabry’s books.

Just ok

This was a short story about a doctor that gets into seemingly dangerous employment after trying to repay the debts his deceased parents left him. He has a romantic interest in a nurse that he works with, and life threatening situations add to the suspense. The story was ok, not my favourite, but I really enjoy the narrator. I received this book for free at my request and have left this objective review voluntarily.

HIS CONTRACT SHOULD HAVE SAID WARNING

"Joining the Hall group could be hazardous to your health".This was a last choice, other positions were gone, half a million in debt. Parents just died and a note forged by his father, bank wants payment now. What is he to do,seems hopeless, for the Doctor. First day, and already domed,or is there hope. Another great story as they all are by Richard Mabry. Good mystery that catches you from the first, of what can he do. Enjoyable for all to enjoy. Love the voice of Bill Nevitt

Great Read

Doctor's Dilemma was a great read by Richard L. Mabry. Everything changed for Dr. Tyler Gentry when his parents died in a plane crash. He found out that his father left him a mountain of debt, along with his own student debts. Dr. William Hall offers him to join his group of surgeons and it seems like a perfect solution to his problems. The night before he's supposed to start, he receives a call that told him to get out while he can. There is a curtain of mystery that surrounds the surgical group. The only thing that made it worthwhile was the operating room nurse, Ashley Wynn. They have an instant connection and on their first date, it ended in his car exploding. Ashley watched this happened and seemed hesitant to continue their relationship. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Doctor's Dilemma

Tyler Gentry, fresh out of med school and looking for his first job, thinks he has it all locked up until his parents die and everything falls apart. But out of the blue he is offered a awesome job with great benefits, that it is just too good to turn down. But once he gets there and starts working he starts to hear things about the practice and can feel the trepidation build. When the main doctor of the practice dies that is when all the fun begins. Should Tyler leave or stay at the practice with all its wonderful perks, that 2ould be a dilemma for anyone.

This is a very exciting, fast paced, suspenseful, medical drama, only you do not need to know anything medical to love this book. Dr. Mabry's writing is well paced and the characters work very well together. He doesn't throw a lot of medical jargon at you so everyone can enjoy his books. I listened to the audio version of the book and Mr. Nevitt narration is wonder, he makes you feel a part of the story there with Tyler throughout the whole story. The audio will not disappoint it was real good, but what ever format you decide on I think you will enjoy this book.

Jenny’s review

A good medical mystery for sure so much going in such a short amount of time. Strange phone calls, people who go missing, murder and an explosion with so much more.
Tyler Gentry gets roped into joining a medical group because of mounting debt and the tragic loss of his parents and that’s when all the threats and warnings begin. The only good thing he can see in this whole deal is meeting nurse Ashley Winn and together they try to figure out this crazy mess before it’s too late!

The narrator does a decent job with this story but struggles with the female characters:).
